My short dramedy, Fruitless, is screening Friday afternoon at 5:30 with the Comedy Shorts block. The film follows a lonely 40-something woman who goes to drastic lengths to join the clique of young moms who meet outside her window. I'll also be speaking on the "PRODUCING: Don't Have $1 million, How to Make a Micro-Budget Feature and Get it Distributed" panel on Saturday at 1pm.

Bio: An award-winning writer/director/actor, Robyn Paris has written and developed features, television, web series and Virtual Reality programming for numerous production companies. Robyn created, directed and produced ten episodes of the original mockumentary series THE ROOM ACTORS: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? (TRAWATN) - cumulatively the length of a full feature. The series premiered at Raindance and went on to screen at dozens of prestigious film festivals worldwide, including HollyShorts, HBO's ITVFest, the Chicago Comedy Film Festival where Robyn won the “Best Director” award and HollyWeb where the series won “Best Ensemble Cast.” The show was nominated for three Independent Series Awards in 2018 and won "Best Web Series" at the 2020 and 2018 LA Independent Film Festival before premiering online in partnership with Funny or Die and amassing 1M+ views and thousands of positive comments.
